Privacy Policy

In short: PhotosSweep runs entirely on your device — no ads, no trackers, no analytics, and nothing is collected automatically. The only information we ever receive is a message you choose to send us through the in-app Support form.

This Privacy Policy explains how the PhotosSweep mobile application ("PhotosSweep", "the app", "we") handles information. PhotosSweep is developed by Antons Aleksandrovs ("the developer"). By using the app you agree to this policy.

1. Data we collect

PhotosSweep collects no data automatically — no analytics, no tracking, no account or login. The only information we receive is what you choose to send through the in-app Support form: the message you write, an optional email address (only if you want a reply), and basic technical context (an anonymous identifier, the app version, and your iOS version) to help us respond. Support messages are stored on Google Firebase (Firestore) solely to handle your request, are visible only to the developer, and are never sold or used for advertising. Your photos and videos are never collected (see section 2).

2. Access to your photo library

To do its job, PhotosSweep asks your permission to access your photo library (or only the photos you select). This access is used solely on your device to find duplicate, similar, large, or low-quality photos and videos and to help you remove them. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, copied to any server, shared, or seen by the developer or any third party. Image analysis uses Apple's on-device Vision framework.

3. No tracking, analytics, or ads

The app contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not use the Advertising Tracking permission (ATT). It does not build a profile of you.

4. Network use

PhotosSweep is designed to work fully offline and makes no network calls to operate. The only network interactions are those performed by Apple's App Store for app distribution and for processing subscriptions (see below).

5. Purchases & subscriptions

PhotosSweep Premium is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store. All payments are processed by Apple; the developer never receives your payment card or billing details. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Entitlements are verified on-device via Apple's StoreKit.

6. Required-reason device APIs

To show how much space you can reclaim, the app reads on-device information such as available disk space and file timestamps. This information is used only on your device to display and calculate results and is never transmitted.

7. Children

PhotosSweep does not collect data from anyone, including children. The app is suitable for general audiences.

8. Your rights

Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. If you have any questions about privacy, including under the GDPR or CCPA, contact us and we will help.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
